What most mattress review sites claim
When reading PuraSleep mattress reviews, at least most of them, you can see how this is one of the best luxurious sleeping surfaces that will provide you with a great level of comfort.
The brand categorizes this mattress as medium-firm, and it says that no matter in which position you prefer to spend the night in this mattress will give you just the right level of support.
Apparently, this mattress has the ability to contour to your body shape perfectly.
Another thing this product is praised is its airflow and temperature regulation.
According to most PuraSleep memory foam mattress reviews, the Cool Flow open-cell technology will capture and remove the heat that comes from your body, so you will be able to sleep cool during the entire night.
Also, it is described as a sleeping surface that has great motion isolation and excellent responsiveness.
The sites also talk a lot about the excellent pressure relief this mattress can provide, which means your hips, shoulders, and feet should feel super cozy even if you spend the whole night on your side.
This is a very important issue for side sleepers. According to the company, you should not feel any sort of pain in these areas.
And the support core layer of the mattress will offer great body alignment, so your back and neck should remain in the right position all the time.
The brand and mattress review sites claim this is a high-quality, made sleeping surface that will last for years, and even though it is a luxurious product, they say it is quite affordable.
Bear in mind that the company is not willing to give you a free trial period, but they do have a 10-year warranty on each of their products.
Our honest review of PuraSleep CoolFlow Mattress
Now we are going to see how and if all of these statements match the real-life experience of the customers who bought and slept on this mattress for quite some time. What PuraSleep reviews with one or two stars had to say.
CLAIM 1: This is high-quality, made mattress that will last for years.
TRUTH: It is pretty questionable if the mattress is high-quality made if it shows the signs of deterioration after only two years. Apparently, people who used this mattress for that long say it started showing indentations in areas that have been used the most. Even though some of them tried improving the situation by turning it every couple of months, nothing changed.
CLAIM 2: PuraSleep mattress is a luxurious sleeping surface that will provide you with a great level of comfort and support no matter in which position you sleep during the night.
TRUTH: Even though comfort and support are the features the brand is most proud of, besides the temperature regulation of the mattress, it turns out not every person who bought it was satisfied with what this sleeping surface had to offer.
According to some reviews, the PuraSleep mattress was super comfortable and supportive at first, but after a short period of time, things changed somehow. It was not as cushiony as it was in the beginning, and the body of sleepers was not so well-aligned later on.
CLAIM 3: With this mattress, you shouldn’t feel any sort of pain in your back, neck, shoulders, or hips.
TRUTH: This is evidently far from the truth. People who used this mattress as the main sleeping surface for quite a period of time were disappointed with it because they started waking up feeling sore and experiencing pain in their bodies. Numerous of them complained about back pain, in particular, claiming the mattress is too firm, even though they chose the medium level of firmness.
Given the PureSleep mattresses are sold only online, it is pretty unacceptable for the company not to have great customer service. And according to a huge number of PuraSleep buyers, that’s the case.
Apparently, some of them wanted to return or to replace the product based on the brand’s 10-year warranty, but they didn’t manage to do that because they simply couldn’t find the way to contact their support center or to get a response from them.
Some even said the procedure of returning the product is way too complicated.
It is a well-known fact that all foam mattresses that come in a box will have some odor when unpacked and that it can be quite intensive for a few days, but no one expected that from a high-end mattress like the PureSleep one.
According to its users, this mattress comes with some serious off-gassing, and you won’t be able to sleep on it for at least several days.
There were several customers who discovered the manufacturer used low-quality foam in the second core layer. Apparently, when they removed the cover for the purpose of washing it, they established there is a huge difference between the top layer and the base layer regarding the quality of the foam that’s been used.
According to them, the manufacturer didn’t use high-density, but low-density foam.
The manufacturer is not willing to give its customers a trial period, and that’s what most of them find to be infuriating. Especially given the fact that most other mattress brands will approve of that.
The argument people used is that this is not a low-budget mattress, but quite an expensive one and they believe it is only fair to provide people with the opportunity to sleep on it for a while in order to establish whether or not it is a good solution for them.
When buying a mattress, the first thing you do is measure your room or your bed frame in order to establish which one will be suitable for your needs. And you can always find this info on a seller’s site. Now, we all believe this information is reliable and accurate, but as it turns out, sometimes, it’s not.
One person reported that they order a full-sized PuraSleep mattress that should be 54 inches wide, but they got a product that’s two inches wider than it’s advertised. Now, we believe this is just reckless and unprofessional.
There are definitely some great things about this mattress. First of all, it has a good temperature regulation, which is not that common among all-foam sleeping surfaces, and second of all, it does have excellent motion isolation, so it may be a great solution for couples.
But, it is unacceptable for a product of this kind, which’s worth around 500 dollars, to start sagging after only a year or two of usage. Some customers reported that happening even sooner. And it is not acceptable for it to lose its core and stability, making people feel pain in their back.
So we vote against buying a PuraSleep mattress. We believe you can do much better for that amount of money.
